Since a lot of people don't know about this, I'll share my experience.

Application For Approval To Undergo The Commercial Pilot License ( CPL/IR) Course/Frozen ATPL

With reference to the application above , I would like to apply for your approval to undergo the commercial pilot's license course with instruments rating (CPL/IR) and frozen Airline Transport Pilot License (ATPL) at any approved flying training schools in Malaysia.

2) I've obtained the minimum required results in SPM (can also add diploma, degree and so on) and I attach here a copy of my results slip for reference.

3) It has been a lifelong passion since I was a young to fly planes. (just write anything here on why you want to be a pilot)

4) I appreciate your cooperation and hope for a reply from you. (something like that)

To put it in a nutshell, you must have these two in the letter
1. Why you want to undergo the course.
2. A copy of your SPM results. You must have Physics(or any science subjects), Mathematics, English, Bahasa Melayu and a minimum of 5 passing credits all together included.
3. Some say Medical Certificate is needed, but I got mine without them.

You can deliver the application letter in 3 ways

1. Email
2. Traditional posting
3. By hand

Within 2 weeks or so, after you're approved, you will receive the approval letter. Below is my letter of approval.
